Pitch Perfect! Tuesday, March 26th 6-8 pm, NVC 2-125: Whether you’re at a networking event talking to recruiters, following up on a job offer, or discussing a project at work through email, effective communication is key to professional success. Yet, there is a lot of uncertainty around best practices, especially with the reliance on social media, text, and navigating everyone’s personal preferences. This workshop will give you the tips and insights you need to confidently make decisions about the way you pitch yourself and build relationships through communication with employers, mentors, and peers, both in-person and digitally.

Bollywood Holi Bash! Wednesday, March 27th, 2019 7-10 pm (NVC 1-107). Come eat, drink, and dance with your friends! Must have your school and government ID. Free for you and a +1 (Must be 21 or over – Does not need to be a Baruch student). 

Wild Wild World:GSA and 17 Lex are teaming up to sponsor a talk with Ankit Panda and Stephanie R. Golob. The two will discuss current East Asian foreign affairs and the political climate in both China and North Korea. There will be a Q and A session after the discussion. Ankit Panda is a senior editor at The Diplomat and Professor Golob is CUNY professor who teaches International Relations and Comparative Politics courses.

Courageous Leadership: April 10th, 2019, 6:15-9 pm (NVC 2-125). Why are some people great leaders? What separates the great leaders from the ordinary? How can you become one of those great leaders? If you’ve ever asked any of these questions, this engaging program is for you. Gerry Valentine will show you how the greatest leaders display a very specific quality — Courageous Leadership. He explains how you can start using the five key principles of courageous leadership to inspire others, to energize and motivate your teams, and to deliver outstanding results.

Adam S. Grundfast, Esq
. will lead a workshop and discuss the ever-changing nature of job-hunting or job-mobility and how networking is the best way to get around the obstacles currently in place for those who simply send resumes to prospective employers. He will review how to network and how to work a room.  If you are nervous about this topic or want to refine your networking approach, this is a workshop for you.
